From Lifelong Dog Lover to Certified Trainer on the NorthShore
I was born in North Wales, U.K., where my closest companion was my black Labrador, Nellie. Our magical walks through the woods sparked my lifelong love for animals. After 14 years in London, I moved to Wilmette, IL, started a family, and adopted my dog, Bentley. As my children grew, I finally pursued my dream of becoming a certified dog trainer on the NorthShore.
In 2016, I began volunteering with the Evanston Animal Shelter and Adopt-A-Pet as a foster mom and adoption counselor. Seeing how many dogs return to shelters due to a lack of socialization, I became determined to give every dog the best chance at success. I enrolled in the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, graduating from the Master Course with Distinction.
Today, I am dedicated to helping families build strong, lasting relationships. Beyond coaching, I’ve served as an expert witness in dog-related cases and led the dog walking program at Wilmette Pet. For me, nothing is more rewarding than seeing a dog run free, happy, and without a care in the world.
